Good Coffee. Simple Food.

We are Steve and Alexa. Between us we've raised four kids, held two corporate jobs with matching pension plans, and spent more years than we'd like to count commuting to offices with our names on the parking spots. When the youngest kiddo left for university, the house became eerily quiet, and we looked at each other across a kitchen that suddenly felt too big and said, "What if we just didn't do this anymore?" So we didn't.

We cashed in the stability, found a space just down the road from home, spent a chunk of change on paint and lumber, and a short six weeks later we opened a coffee bar. The coffee is significantly better than what we were drinking at our desks; the hours are significantly worse. But we get to build something with our hands, serve people food we're proud of, meet the best people and be home by four — which is more than either of us could say before.

We're particular about what we serve, but not in a super uptight, pretentious way (promise). We buy great coffee beans from people we actually know, we make everything in the kitchen that morning, and the menu is short on purpose — we'd rather do a few things properly than fill a board with fluff.
